FROZEN SHOULDER

Shoulder pain

Our Northampton-based clinic specialises in treating frozen shoulder, also known as adhesive capsulitis. This condition occurs when the shoulder joint capsule thickens, resulting in a sudden onset of symptoms that gradually limit range of motion and cause pain, particularly at night. Patients may also experience difficulty sleeping and performing overhead and dressing movements.

To alleviate the condition, we utilise a combination of laser therapy, shockwave therapy, and EMS therapy, which can reduce inflammation, promote tissue healing, and alleviate pain in the shoulder and surrounding areas. As your symptoms improve, we gradually introduce exercises to strengthen the rotator cuff muscles and upper back, improve range of motion, and alleviate the condition.
